RAS Metronome
Rhythmic Auditory Stimulation for gait training. Set your confirmed tempo and let the beat guide each step.
How to use this tool
Start at 90 BPM for Session 1. Sit with the beat playing for 30 seconds before standing. Each footstep should land on a click. If the tempo feels too fast or too slow, adjust in 5 BPM steps and observe. Save your confirmed tempo so it's ready next session.
For best results with hearing aids
Ensure your Bluetooth hearing aids are paired to your phone before opening this tool. The beat will stream directly through them. Keep the phone nearby and the screen awake — the metronome will continue as long as the page is open.
Turning strategy
Before any turn, stop walking. Listen for two beats. On the third beat, begin a wide, slow arc turn — never a pivot. The beat goes first, your feet follow. Practice this every session until it becomes automatic.
